Still a bit red and sore, this is my second tattoo (the first being the birds above the quote), and my first literary one. It’s a quote from the Sebastian Faulks novel Engleby, “My direction? Anywhere. Because one is always nearer by not keeping still.” I absolutely love the message behind it! Especially since I’m on my year out before university and travelling is so important to me. The novel choice has particular significance because I studied it in conjunction with Human Traces during my time at Sixth Form and it relates strongly to my passions for both psychology and literature.
